Inspire 2021

As another Microsoft Inspire global event comes to a close, it’s clear that Microsoft doesn’t want to simply be a “good” partner to the 400,000 businesses in its partner network; it wants to be the greatest. The virtual event, which took place July 14 and 15, 2021, gave us the chance to learn about Microsoft’s forthcoming roadmap – making new connections, discussing best practices, and exploring new product advancements.

Here are some key points from the digital event to keep in mind as you work to improve your IT strategy.

»  Microsoft Cloud for Sustainability, a new cloud product, is designed to help companies across all industries take control of their environmental initiatives. It will allow businesses to track, monitor, and cut their emissions on their way to net zero.

»  Microsoft unveiled Windows 365, this new category of computing takes the operating system to the Microsoft cloud, streaming the full Windows experience — apps, data and settings — to personal or corporate devices. The service allows organizations to use Cloud PCs from anywhere, using a web browser and a version of Windows 10 or Windows 11. Cloud PCs allow for a new hybrid personal computing category that combines the cloud’s power and the device’s capabilities to deliver a fully customized Windows experience.

»  The newly announced Azure Migration and Modernization Program is an update of the migration program that assists businesses in determining the performance and costs of moving from local to cloud environments. Apps, infrastructures, and data are all covered in the program.

»  We observed the benefits of Dynamics 365 for Sales and its connection with LinkedIn during the conference. When it comes to contacting a potential customer, you can now extract contact details directly from the Sales application, which is a big game changer.

»  Microsoft 365 Lighthouse is a unified gateway that allows managed service providers to securely manage and offer standardized services to their Microsoft 365 Business Premium customers. Microsoft 365 Lighthouse, which was first released in restricted beta last year, is now available to all qualifying partners.
